Dear Sam –
I completely understand the feeling of being frozen in the fear of not being good enough. But I do want to say that your comics helped me deal with a lot of what it means to be genderqueer. Your story is powerful, and your art is unique and fabulous. You’ve touched the lives of thousands upon thousands of readers around the world, and at least for me, you helped make it better.
And goodness, the dino dance you and Joe did was wonderful. 🙂

<3 <3 <3 Thankyou!
YES! – I’m so glad you’ve discovered OHS!
I LOOOOVE that comic 😀
It’s SO GOOD Harry!!!
The Metaphors, the feelings, the surprisingly followable/not-unbelievable sci-fi!
Old Love, Young Love – just, just yes – to ALL of it!!! 😀
And that Blue herself is just spectacular!
Met her in an Interview recently ^^ and was blown away by her passion and love of both science and fiction.
Sam, please don’t stop drawing. This comic has helped me so much with my own transition, given me vocabulary for situations I didn’t even know could be articulated, and helped me feel human again when all I could think was I was the world’s biggest freak. Your words and your art are important to so many people. Dammit, we need you.

I feel you, and this really spoke to me, and also Jay Smooth is the coolest human.
Oh awesome! I’ll have to read this link anytime I feel like this. Thanks !!
Sam – it totally doesn’t suck. Quite the opposite. I’m no artist myself, but your drawing has always been awesome and has got continually more awesome since the start of your comic. More importantly, your comic has been so helpful to me – I’ve grown up alongside it from terrified teenage girl who might be a lesbian to fully-fledged trans man and you’ve perfectly captured so many of my feelings and experiences along the way. So thanks – and don’t stop! Ever.
