The second part of my comic about pride – cheers so much for the feedback on Joan of Arc, I guess it goes to show how difficult it is to find trans role models, because they’re so often erased from history.
Hey, another Welsh queer here, just piping up to appreciate the mention of Merched Beca (Rebecca’s daughters). My primary school is in that area, we learned about the riots in a really involved way, there were pictures up around the school of people re enacting the riots in the 70s, including pretty much everyone from the local community. We had songs about it in assembly and everything. I was pretty confused when I moved to England and realised no one who grew up there regularly had curricular lessons cancelled for class struggle history hour!
wehey, the rebecca riots! I grew up near there!
… not, of course, that i’m saying it was a good thing!
Well they were, but not the circumstances. my computer is slow, i’m stopping now.
Ha! yes, I get what you’re meaning 😀 😀
