There’s at least one more part to go, because i’ve got a lot to say.
ALSO!
I’ll be in Sydney next week so I Â thought I’d do a little book launch while I’m there!
It’s at the Twenty10 Centre
1/45 Chippen St, Chippendale on
Thursday November 20th at 6.30pm
I don’t really know folks in Sydney, so please invite people along: https://www.facebook.com/events/1588874604674405
I’d love to attend your event, but can’t access the Facebook page.
Oh good point! I just popped the details up on the post 🙂
in some ways I think this reflects the gender-biases of society, it gives male-presenting persons male privilege and treats female-identified the way it treats most women (as in sit down and shut up), which for both is a weird change. I don’t think it’s remotely fair, but I find it sort of amusing that people who think they “follow nature” or some bullshit still actually follow cultural bias instead- they claim that they would treat a person by their birth gender but still treat them by what they are presenting instead. I suppose in some ways its a sort of backhanded compliment since they are actually treating a trans person as they present, but I dream of a world where people are judged by their talents and skills and gender is just a thing like favorite color.
