As I mentioned in earlier threads, I attend Q-Topia. It would be really cool if you could come down to Christchurch sometime and come say hi, you might recognise some faces from Kazam ๐
you’re the sweetest, sam. it’s nice to hear queer guys talk about lesbians as though we’re all on the same team here. it’s something that gets overshadowed too much.
Ideally, you shouldn’t be – there shouldn’t BE any sides.
Ideally, we’d all respect everyone’s right to be who they are and who they’re happiest being. No one would see you as any label, save one – your name. (Well, I guess it’d be okay for family members to see you as “my relative”, friends to see you as “my friend”, etc., but now I’m derailing myself!)
Sad to see that even at pride events there can still be the sense of “otherness”.
