For Non Australian or New Zealand readers – the context for this strip is here. The TLDR is that an Australian rugby team put rainbows on their Jerseys, then a bunch of players refused to wear the jerseys, and then conflicted conversations that involved racism, homophobia, and just generally shittiness occurred. Everybody felt stink. But most probably, especially, queer Pacific people and Queer Indigenous Australians.
Also, if you’re wondering why I’m talking about Rugby? Well it’s because I’m the unofficial first queer and trans all black, and if that doesn’t make me an expert than I don’t know what does.

Best commentary I saw was this: Manly’s jersey predicament taught sport an important lesson about inclusion, just not the one the club intended
Maybe talk to the players first, and not just about the jersey *facepalm*
oooh this is a really interesting read, thanks!
