I couldn’t figure out why I was being offered so many coffees until I saw the coffee grounds on the garden, I thought it was just Joe being lovely.
I also realised belatedly when I was showing this to Joe, that the song only works if you have an Australian or American accents.
Heh, the second panel is like the #2 most frequent conversation at my apartment (the #1 being “OMG [insert show name here] is so good”)
Joe’s chest in panel one seems to be drawn more round then when you usually draw them. I was wondering if that was on purpose or just a coincidence… I hope this isn’t a weird question…
Ha no, not a weird question! Just trying to affirm a lil bit of Joe’s genderqueerness 🙂
I thought as much, but it’s a bit weird to ask about someone’s chest (personal question much!). I only know about Joe’s gender because you’ve written and drawn about it. And I didn’t want to presume something wrong, because gender expression comes in all kinds of shapes and sizes 🙂
So I thought I’d ask about your drawing of said chest instead!
Wait, what happens in a British accent?
It’s that Plant and ant don’t rhyme using NZ or british accents. Because british/nz say plant like ‘plaarrrnt’, which doesn’t rhyme with ant. Does this make sense, lol, writing sounds is hard!
Yeah, that makes perfect sense. I mean, your explanation makes sense- accents themselves are always befuddling.
If you’re from northern england or wales (maybe scotland, i’m not sure), it sounds fine! Only southerners put imaginary ‘r’s in words!
(Being from Liverpool, I was confused what you meant for a second)
