It’s been such an amazing learning experience tackling a large narrative. It’s, thankfully, already all written, although we’re updating and changing parts so it works better as a graphic novel. But it’s a huge task thinking about the narrative structure, making sure all the characters and plot points feed the main themes together, and you know, making it an enjoyable reading experience. Sometimes I really feel like the Charlie/Pepe Silvia meme guy.
For the last few months I’ve been working on three pages at a time, and it’s a real breakthrough in terms of my process. I’ve found it really helps with pacing and flow and generally helps me hold a bigger chunk of the story in my head a bit more easily.
I’ve learned so so much doing this process and I’m so grateful for the opportunity.
Hi! Two days ago I was looking for a trans-centric webcomic (I was feeling down) and found this one. The art looked cute and the final panel got me. I’ve just finished reading Rooster Tails since the beginning and now I feel more at peace with my oncoming year and whatever I’ll try to achieve for myself (like legally changing my name, even going on T). So thank you so much for keeping up this comic!
Oh wow, thanks so much <3 that means a lot!
