Sorry it’s a little late. I got side-swiped with my first dose of Covid right at the end of my holidays so I’ve been trying to recover from that. It’s been a bit dark here – covid-brain and the fears have gotten to me, but trying to remember it will pass. I have been testing positive for two weeks now and I’m pretty over it.
Fourteen years (I originally wrote thirteen, but realised I’m now entering my 14th year!) of doing this silly little comic is pretty amazing though, I’m pretty sporadic these days – I think partially because I feel like I am an only boring man and don’t have much to share, and also because the climate around trans stuff is scary and oversharing on the internet just ain’t as fun as it used to be. But, I love this little comic, and sharing when it feels like I have something to share, and the lovely supportive readers that read and comment, so I’ll keep going for a while yet š
Oh, and for non-New Zealand readers, te reo MÄori is the language of our indigenous people, and an official language of New Zealand so it feels exciting and important to learn it. Also, this is the Durie Hill elevator, and it’s both an amazing spot and an amazing place for selfies.
Sorry you got Covid. Yay for getting your full car license – a rite of passage to adulthood in Aotearoa!! Congratulations on becoming a parent to a teenager (Rooster Tails). I hope they continue their creative journey.
