I was quite proud of my sewing skills for this, so I decided to draw a comic about it. I used black elastic, though, which is better for a cleaner look. Tim Gunn would be proud.

(There is text beneath the bolded purple text, which reads:) You will need:
(There are two pieces of elastic, upon which is written:) 20cm long (and on the other) Cut to your preferred length
(There are arrows pointing to the elastic, with text which reads:) 2 lengths of elastic
(There is text along one of the ends of one of the pieces of elastic, which reads:) fairly thick
(There is a rubber cockring, within which is written:) wider than the girth of your packer
(There are arrows pointing towards the cockring, with text which reads:) A rubber cockring or rubber eyelet.
(There is a needle with thread attached to it, with an arrow pointing towards it, and the words:) Needle & thread
(There are four garment hooks and one eye, with arrows pointing towards them, and the words:) four ‘hooks’ one ‘eye’
Panel 2:
(There is a cockring that two pieces of elastic have been looped through. One piece has been sewed in place, and above the other is a threaded needle. There is an arrow pointing towards the cockring, with text which reads:) loop the short piece around the ring & sew on with at least two rows of stitches.
(There is another arrow pointing towards the cockring, with text which reads:) Same goes for the longer piece- loop the elastic around & stitch on.
Panel 3:
(There is a close up of one of the pieces of elastic and part of the cockring. There are four hooks attached to the elastic, pointing towards the cockring. At the bottom of the panel, there is thread being pulled along by a needle. Below the elastic is text, which reads:) Attach the four hooks (evenly spaced) to the short end of elastic
Panel 4:
Sam: (A person wearing blue underwear, with a purple waistband, who is facing the viewer and is visible from the lower chest down. Hands are holding the packer harness around Sam’s hips.)
(There is text next to Sam, which reads:) Measure the length required to fit snug around your hips. Cut long piece to size.
(Below the text is a close up of the end of the long piece of elastic, which has the eye attached to it, its loop protruding over the end of the elastic. An arrow is pointing towards it, with text which reads:) Attach the eye to the end of the long piece.

Discussion (8) ¬
That’s like a fancier version to the one I use!
I have an elastic (that somehow was the perfect length right out of the package), two safety pins, and a ring. Safety pins are great for those who have no sewing skills 🙂
Yes, I took it from the way you described your one in a previous comment! (took/stole….oops)….
Safety pins scare me too much, especially in sensitive areas – I don’t trust my coordination skills, plus I’d be worried they’d pop open and start stabbing me!
Surprisingly enough, that has not [yet] happened to me. 😛
Ahh, I like the addition of the hooks! Good way to deal with the inevitable stretching out of straight-up elastic 🙂
Exactly what I was thinking! And it makes it all good if you put on weight when you first start taking T. Or any weight fluctuations really.
OMG I am totally going to make one. HUrrah
yes! do! they’re great! I was also talking to some of the guys from Hong Kong and Singapore last night and they gave me info on other packers that were super good quality. I use the mr. limpy ones on fleshlight.co.nz – what do you use? Also – do you know about the nztransguys forum on yahooo groups?
