Hey, this is pretty awesome! One quick note, though: the viewing of trans people as being “born a man” for trans women, or “born a woman” for trans men is a little problematic in that it subtly implies that they weren’t the correct gender at birth, rather than that they weren’t *assigned* the correct gender at birth. Of course, some people do associate with those “born a ” phrases, but it feels like this comic implies that ALL trans people identify that way, when it is only a portion.
Again, this is really great, and because it is so good, I wanted to point out this small point so that it might be able to be made even better.

YES! I totally agree! I saw a comment about that on reddit and I am just redoing the panel today – because F2M and that ‘born’ language is super problematic! I really like how this comic is a constant work in progress!
I think living, breathing art is definitely the best! Especially when it’s full of so much information! 🙂

Please do correct the error pointed by Natahlia on trans women and trans men.
We use ‘woman’ and ‘man’ to indicate gender not sex. Male, female can be used for indicating sex and gender (old practice).
Also all trans woman do not identify on the binary etc
Try and use this idea for trans women: “assigned male at birth”/ “misgendered at birth” by doctors/parents
idea2 : intersex people are best referred to as people with DSD (differences in sexual development).

I recently did a rejig of this one and corrected that F2M etc stuff – ’cause totally agree that it’s problematic.
Was there a panel that implied that all trans women identify on the binary?? Just wanna make sure that I’m not implying that at all.
Oh yeh, good point about intersex and DSD – I different know people some who prefer intersex, and other who prefer DSD, so maybe I should add that in too – Cheers heaps!
This is awesome!!!! BTW a lot of Native Americans identify as two-spirit, which is really cool and could go in there with the fa’afa stuff. I identify as cis-with-complications because I have Turner Syndrome, which means I have one X chromosome instead of two. I am proud of that and the way it makes me a bit different, but other gals with Turner Syndrome don’t want to be seen as different at all, they’re like – I’m just woman please, don’t muddy the waters here. It helps for me that I am bi and in a relationship with a woman, so I am all ready not hung up on fitting into a straight paradigm. Again, love this comic!
